ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Using advanced millimetre-wave radar technology, Lexus’ innovative Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) can control the speed of the GS to follow another vehicle.
The pre-set cruising speed is maintained until the radar detects a slower moving vehicle ahead, when it reduces the speed of the GS accordingly. The driver then has the option to select a vehicle-to-vehicle following distance.
ACC automatically maintains the set distance selected, by applying the brakes or throttle to control the speed of the GS in accordance with the vehicle ahead. Once the road is clear again, ACC smoothly returns the GS to the original cruising speed.
Please note: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is additionally supplied if you specify the option of Pre-Crash Safety (PCS) on your GS, and operates within a certain speed range only.
