AIRBAG PROTECTION

Lexus’ technological sophistication employs sensor-controlled 2-stage driver and front passenger airbags. These register the intensity of impact and seat position and deploy accordingly to provide maximum protection and minimum impact.

Knee airbags for both front seat occupants provide additional protection in the event of frontal impact. Large Thorax, Abdomen, Pelvis (TAP) airbags, located within the side of the front seats are in an ideal position to protect you, irrespective of how far back or forward your seat is.

Additional protection is provided in the event of side impact by full-length curtain shield airbags, which run the entire length of both cabin sides. Rear side airbags are available as an option.
